The Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers (SPHEM) and Elite Blade Performance Technology are pleased to announce a new partnership.
Elite is a leading innovator in the field of blade preparation and maintenance, with its hyperefficient and versatile E-P3 Profiler and its revolutionary, E-S4 sharpener, the first “responsive” automated sharpener which reads the shape of the blade and controls the speed and pressure of sharpening passes to perfectly preserve the blade profile. Since launching with the Montreal Canadiens in 2017, over 100 pro teams and national team programs across North America have switched to Elite’s innovative technology.
Building on a relationship that has been growing for several years, SPHEM officially endorses and recommends Elite’s profiler and sharpener to its membership, which includes professional equipment managers from the NHL, AHL, NCAA, CHL and other pro leagues across North America.
“SPHEM is very pleased to endorse Elite as a provider of innovative systems for blade sharpening and custom profiling. Elite has been a strong supporter of SPHEM and its mission over the years, and its machines are widely used by SPHEM members. We are proud to recommend their products and look forward to our continuing relationship,” says Dave Williams, President of SPHEM and Head Equipment Manager of the Buffalo Sabres.
“The efficiency and consistency of the Elite system has been a total game changer for us. There is nothing else out there like it. Switching to the Elite automated sharpener and profiler has been one of the best decisions I have ever made,” says Bobby Hastings, Head Equipment Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
“Elite is proud to be partnering with SPHEM to help push the boundaries of blade care performance at the highest levels of hockey. Our mission at Elite is to enhance players’ blade performance on the ice, and we see this this partnership as a win for both equipment managers and their players,” says Brian Baxter, CEO, Elite Blade Performance Technology.
